Beyond My Borders is dedicated to my friend Lisa Hent. It was inspired by a short story she wrote of the same name. The composition travels from a place of calm, into the gradual realization and nerve wrecking acceptance of being lost and out of one's comfort zone, to a determined-to-fix-it fugal strut, and finally back to the comfort of home, but not without the hint of something learned.
