Cello Sonata

This cello sonata was written for Paul Sherrill who gave it its premiere at the IGIGI all night music marathon on May 1st/2nd.

It is in 3 short movements and explores the synthesis of simple and complex pitch groups, extended techniques, formal structures, and minimalist repetition and development.

Performance time is roughly 7’.
