Lyrica Chamber Music Presents the Hausmann String Quartet February 5, 3pm, Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, 240 Southern Blvd., Chatham, NJ
Lyrica Chamber Music present the Hausmann String Quartet who will perform my composition, Saxifrage, as the winner of Lyrica Chamber Music's annual composition competition.
     
University of Central Missouri, New Pieces Project Concert, April 15, 1:30pm, University of Central Missouri 
My composition "Awake at Night" for solo piano will be performed as a winner of the University of Central Missouri's New Pieces Project. A series of educational concerts will follow throughout the 2012-2013 season showcasing this composition.
   
Metapraxis Wintereisse Project England, Details TBA 
The concert will feature my new song, A Certain Slant of Light, commissioned especially for this concert. 
     
Dark in the Song, Contemporary Bassoon Collective Details TBA
Dark in the Song will premiere "Music for 5 Bassoons" in a series of their international and national concerts this spring and next season, stay tuned for more details.

The Sinopia Quartet premiered my work Two by Two that they commissioned.   
    
October 26 __ IGIGI Song Concert, Whitney Humanity Center, New Haven CT, 4:00pm
Bonnie Antosh and Gabriel Zucker performed my song The Future is Space alongside new songs by Yale composers in collaboration with Yale poets.  
    
October 10 __ Braun Salon, House Concert, Downtown LA 7:30pm
My work Memories Suite was performed by composer and pianist Ethan Braun. 
 
September 14 __ Iowa State University Carillon Festival 1pm 
My composition "For Whom The Bell Tolls" was featured as the winning composition of Iowa State University's 2011 Carillon Competition. It was premiered by world renowned carillon virtuoso, Arie Abbenes, from the Netherlands.    
  
July 14 __ HighSCORE Festival, Pavia Italy, 9pm Santa Maria Gualtieri
Movements from my work Memories Suite were performed by Andrea Mastretta as a part of the HighSCORE Festival.   
   
July 12 __ HighSCORE Festival, Pavia Italy, 9pm Santa Maria Gualtieri
A string quartet movement I wrote was premiered by the Indaco String Quartet as a part of the HighSCORE Festival.
   
April 24 __ IGIGI New Music Marathon, 8pm - Midnight  Pierson Music Room
The annual IGIGI New Music Marathon including my own performances of some piano pieces and my song The Future is Space with Julie Hill  
   
April 23rd __ HOUSE Music - Senior Recital, 3pm Silliman Common Room
A concert of my works prominently including my senior project, "House Music" - music exploring the concept of intimate music in the home.
Performances of many of my pieces by me and many of my friends! 
     
April 5th __ JACK Quartet Concert, 5:15pm  Beinecke Library
The JACK Quartet premiered string quartet "Saxifrage" which I wrote for them.
    
February 5th __ ACE New Music Ensemble "Chamber Rock" 7pm in the Whitney Humanities Center, New Haven CT
A concert of new works for rock band. My composition "Der Doppel Rocker" for Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drum Set, and Synthesizer was premiered.

December 4th __ Views on Love and Music, presented by IGIGI and Saxifrage Music. 3pm in the Silliman Common Room at Yale University.
A concert of interrelated pieces of music exploring the theme of love. Works by Bresnick, Chopin, Dixon, Faure, Hill, Schubert, Schumann, Weiser, and Wolf. I performed numerous songs with Julie Hill including my song Ebb, and Lee Dionne performed by piano piece, "Love Dream + Piano Piece". 
    
November 6th __The Jonathan Edwards College Philharmonic Fall Concert 7:30pm  Battell Chapel, New Haven CT
The JECP premiered the piece they commissioned from me last spring - a new multi-movement orchestral collaboration with Julie Hill, "Four Ruminations." 
   
November 4th __IGIGI + YUAG Works Involving Ideas of Water and The Sea Shore 5:30pm in the Yale University Art Gallery Lobby, New Haven CT
A concert of new works for Clarinet, Trombone, Violin, and Double Bass interacting with ideas of Water, Glass, Fluidity, etc to coincide with a new exhibit at the YUAG. My composition "adrift" for Violin, Clarinet in Bb, and Trombone was premiered.      
   
June 25 _Premiere of Finding and Flying at the Norfolk New Music Workshop 7:30 pm, Music Shed
I was commissioned to write a new work as a part of my fellowship for the Norfolk New Music Workshop. The Workshop culminated with a performance of the five new commissioned works by the participants, including my piece Finding and Flying.
    
April 30 __Premiere of Orchestral Work "Recalibrate"__ Johnathan Edwards College Philharmonic 8pm in Battell Chapel
Also on the concert a new work "Dove Descending" by my friend Kenya Gillespie, and music by Mozart, Lalo, Schubert, and Shostakovich 
   
April 15th and 16th, _the waves chamber opera_with libretto adapted from Virgina Woolf's novel by Laura Marris, presented by IGIGI with the OTYC 7pm in Trumbull's Nick Chapel 
Rachel Marcus directed my one act chamber opera experiment with Laura Marris based on Virginia Woolf's novel The Waves.
    
April 11th, 2pm __Yale Percussion will premiere my new work for Vibraphone and Marimba In the Yale University Art Gallery's Lecture Hall
Yale Percussion played a concert of New Music by students and faculty of Yale, and premiered a short work of mine for Vibraphone and Marimba duo.

December 11 __Premiere of "Inimmediate Gratification" for orchestra__ Berkeley College Orchestra Concert Battell Chapel 8pm (Yale)
The Berkeley College Orchestra premiered my orchestral work Inimmediate Gratification that they commissioned from me.
 
November 10 __Premiere__ of "Lament" by Fifth House Ensemble at Yale in Beinecke Library
A Concert of New Music by Yale College Composers and Yale College Composition Faculty. My piece "Lament" opened the second half of the concert.
 
IGIGI - New Takes on Bright College Years Concert Saturday Oct 10, 3pm Silliman Common Room (Yale)
A Short concert of new variations and spin offs on Yale's theme song, "Bright College Years." I performed my new composition "Time and Change Shall Naught Avail"
 
June In Buffalo presented a performance of my composition "...mallet merengue"  (June 1-7 University at Buffalo -- http://www.edgeofthecenter.com/, http://tr.im/x0fH ). 
 
IGIGI New Music Marathon Concert Wed April 29 11pm-4am in the Branford Common Room (Yale) 
A Marathon concert of new (and relatively new) music. It's our annual marathon concert, always a blast! There was a performance of my new piano piece by Lee Dionne, and performances of music by Gorbos, Glass, Harper, Ligeti, Marshall, Rzewski, and more, culminating in a giant group performance of Terry Riley's In C. Stay tuned for next year's marathon!

A whole concert of my music. My Piano Quartet was premiered, and there were performances of a number of my other works including new piano pieces, my cello sonata, and my songs Ebb, and Sunrise on Lucy Vincent Beach.
   
Yale College New Music and the Argento Ensemble Tuesday March 3rd 2009 at 5:15pm in Beinecke Library (Yale) 
Visiting group, the Argento Ensemble, performed a concert of Yale College New Music including the premiere of my composition "dust".
    
JE Chamber Philharmonic Valentines Day Concert Saturday February 14 at 3PM in Battell chapel 300 College St. (Yale) 
The JE Chamber Philharmonic played a premiere of a work of mine that they commissioned. The piece is called "only a dream..." and explores ideas about the role that ideals of love can play in life.  Listen to a recording from the concert here.
 
IGIGI at the Yale University Art Gallery Thursday February 5th 2009 5:30 PM in the Yale University Art Gallery Lobby
Compositions by Yale Undergraduate Composers in response to works of Art in the YUAG were performed by Yale School of Music students in the art gallery lobby. A work of mine responding to a Degas sculpture, "ready to dance" for clarinet, trumpet, and cello was premiered. 
    
Yale College New Music and New Triad Tuesday February 3rd 2009 5:15 in the Beinecke Library (Yale) 
Jennifer Beattie and Adam Marks of New Triad performed a setting I wrote of Edna St. Vincent Millay's poem Ebb. Listen to a recording from the concert here.

IGIGI + Berkeley Poets Society "Words + Music" Concert Dec 11 2008 at 4:30pm in the Silliman Common Room (Yale)
Two colloborations I worked on were premiered. One set of songs with texts by Katy Waldman -- "Sunrise on Lucy Vincent Beach", and a piece with text by María Richardson that María and I performed -- "orange trees by a now dry river".  
     
Ben Bernard Solo Trombone Recital Dec 10 2008 at 7:30pm in the Branford Common Room (Yale) 
Trombonist Ben Bernard premiered a solo trombone piece I wrote for him at his recital.  
     
Yale College New Music and Yale Percussion Ensemble Concert Dec 10 2008 in the Whitney Humanities Center 4:30pm (Yale) 
Players of the Yale Percussion Ensemble premiered a piece I wrote for them. The piece is for Vibraphone and Marimba and is called "...mallet merengue." Listen to a recording from the concert here.
                 
IGIGI Marathon Concert May 1st 8:00 PM - May 2nd 7:00 AM 2008
A whole night of fun! Lee Dionne played my piano suite Three Summer Scenes, and Paul Sherrill premiered the Cello Sonata that I wrote for him. I performed Steve Reich's Clapping Music with Paul Sherrill in the wee hours of the morning and participated in numerous improvisations including a communal performance of Terry Riley's In C at 6:00 AM.

Yale Glee Club Chamber Singers perform Break of Day at ChoralFest Friday April 4th, 2008 at 4:30 PM in Sudler Hall
The Yale Glee Club Chamber Singers performed my composition Break of Day, a setting of the John Donne poem of the same name.

TESS Concert Series presents Chamber Players Concert Series with Paul Alan Levi's Four Hand Band April 12, 2008
My teacher and friend Paul Alan Levi played, with his wife Cathy Waldman, his arrangements of my Three Summer Scenes, two Astor Piazzolla Tangos, Prokofiev's Oveture on Hebrew Melodies, as well as an exciting new piece of his called Not in 4.

Alvin Lucier + IGIGI Present Art + Sound February 14th, 2008 5:30 - 8:00 PM
A number of works reacting to works of art in the Yale University Art Gallery by Yale College composers were performed. Among them was my composition Ocean Park No. 24 reacting to the Richard Diebenkorn painting of the same name.
